• Email address — when you create an account or sign in with Google.
• Username, bio, profile photo — when you set up your profile.
• Location — only when you grant permission, used to show distances to places near you. We do not store your location on our servers.
• Places you submit — names, addresses, photos, and categories you add to the map.
• Social links — Instagram and TikTok handles, only if you choose to add them.

How we use it

• To create and manage your account.
• To display your profile and curated places to other users.
• To calculate distances between you and places on the map — processed on-device, not stored.
• To send you notifications about new spots, only if you grant permission.

What we don't do

• We do not sell your data to third parties.
• We do not use your data for advertising.
• We do not track you across other apps or websites.

Third-party services

Slowday uses the following services to operate. Each has its own privacy policy:

• Supabase — database and authentication (supabase.com/privacy)
• Mapbox — maps and location rendering (mapbox.com/legal/privacy)
• Google Sign-In — optional sign-in method (policies.google.com/privacy)
• Vercel — web hosting (vercel.com/legal/privacy-policy)

Data retention

Your data is stored for as long as your account is active. To delete your account and all associated data, contact us at support@slowday.app. We will action your request within 30 days.

Children

Slowday is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with personal data, please contact us and we will delete it promptly.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. The date at the top of this page reflects when it was last revised. Continued use of Slowday after changes are posted means you accept the updated policy.
